On 16 May 2023, the Institute for Competitiveness (I-Com) organised the Roundtable titled “IL DIGITALE TI DA UNA MANO. The Role of Public and Private Actors for Consumer Empowerment” on Tuesday, May 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at I-Com premises in Rome.
The appointment was part of the collaborative activities between CEP (Consumer Empowerment Project) and PromethEUs, the network of southern European think tanks composed of the Elcano Royal Institute (Spain), the Institute for Competitiveness I-Com (Italy), the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research IOBE (Greece) and the Institute of Public Policy (Portugal), engaged in promoting studies and moments of confrontation on the digital transition at the national and supranational level.
The meeting was an opportunity to present for the first time in Italy the Consumer Digital Empowerment Index, in which 25 experts on the subject have participated-including I-Com President Stefano da Empoli- and which aims to provide data and insights on how digital services can empower consumers in their daily lives.
The roundtable also discussed the regulatory measures and evolving strategies regarding digital identity in Italy and Europe.
